    Okeeheelee Pickleball Courts Review 

    Okeeheelee Park is one of the most popular sports hubs in Palm Beach County and for good reason. It’s a catch-all park packed with activities, but the real magic happens at the pickleball courts. Whether you’re chasing dinks or defending your honor in a 10–10 showdown, this spot delivers strong games and an even stronger local community.

    Centrally located and easy to access from Wellington, Lake Worth, and surrounding areas. Translation: no excuses not to play!

    Hours:

    The pickleball courts are open daily from sunrise to 10:00 PM, with fully lighted courts for evening matches. Morning grinders and night owls you’re both covered.

    Parking:

    Plenty of free parking throughout the park. No circling. Just park and paddle.

    Courts:
    The complex features six dedicated outdoor pickleball courts. No reservations required; it’s first come, first served.

    Price:
    FREE. Yes, really. High-quality outdoor pickleball courts in West Palm Beach without paying court fees? We love to see it.

    Paddle System:
    Courts are divided into fenced sections and operate on a classic paddle rotation system. Drop your paddle in line and rotate into games. During peak hours, you may wait a bit, but the system keeps it fair and social. It’s a great way to mix in with new players and level up your game (or at least your trash talk).

    Classic blue and green color scheme - perfect for tracking those fast cross-court drives.

    These are dedicated pickleball courts with permanent lines and nets. Just clean, consistent play.

    All nets are in excellent condition - proper height, good tension, no holes. Your excuses about the net are officially canceled.

    Seating:
    Currently, there are no benches courtside, so bring your own chair if you plan to hang between games. Consider it part of your pre-game prep.

    Safety Features: 
    Located inside a well-maintained public park, you’ll find restrooms, water fountains, shaded areas, and nearby walking trails.

    Cleanliness: 
    The courts and surrounding areas are consistently clean and well-kept which makes the whole experience more enjoyable.

    Lighting:
    Full court lighting allows for competitive evening pickleball in West Palm Beach - a huge plus during hot Florida months.

    Wind Guards:
    Wind guards are installed, helping reduce ball interference on breezy South Florida days and improving overall playability.

    The Vibe:
    Plenty of shade, active players, friendly faces, and convenient parking make Okeeheelee one of the most inviting pickleball spots in Palm Beach County. Show up solo, and you’ll likely leave having played with half the park.

    What are the people like?
    Very inviting and friendly. Players rotate fairly, sometimes share snacks, and often play with their regular crews, but newcomers are absolutely welcomed into games.

    Overall Rating:
    ⭐ 8 out of 10

    Similar in feel to John Prince Park - fenced-in courts, good competition, night lighting, and strong community vibes. Only downside? No seating.

    After burning calories at Okeeheelee, it’s only responsible to replace them. Enter: Anna Bakes - one of the best bakeries in Wellington, FL. Fresh cookies, creative flavors, savory hand pies, cakes, and coffee? Say less.

    Their chocolate chip cookie was so popular the day we stopped by that it SOLD OUT. Which honestly just confirms what we already suspected.
