🍪🏓 Cookies N Court: Caloosa Park and Two Fat Cookies

April’s Cookies N Court adventure takes us to Boynton Beach, Florida, where we combined two elite life choices: pickleball and cookies. This time, we hit up Caloosa Park for some court time, then rewarded ourselves with a sweet stop at Two Fat Cookies. Balance is everything.

    Caloosa Pickleball Courts Review

If you’re searching for pickleball courts in Boynton Beach, Caloosa Park is one of the most popular spots around - and for good reason. It’s tucked inside a large, multi-sport park, so there’s always something going on.

    Address:
    1300 S.W. 35th Avenue Boynton Beach, Florida 33426

    Hours:
Open daily from sunrise to 10:00 PM

    Parking:
There is plenty of free parking available in the park.

    Courts:
The complex features 8 outdoor pickleball courts -  2 of them are overflow courts. These are outdoor pickleball courts, so Florida heat is part of the experience. Hydrate, sunscreen up, and embrace the glow (aka sweat).

    Price:
    FREE.

    Paddle System:
The paddle drop system only really works when it’s busy. We went during the daytime on a hot weekend day, and it was pretty deserted, so we mostly had to play with the group we came with.

    Court colors:
The pickleball courts feature a classic blue and green color scheme,

    Condition:
The courts are well-maintained and fully playable, whether you're just learning or trying to dominate your friends.

    Surface Material:
The courts feature a standard outdoor material suitable for all levels of play

    Dimensions:
Standard  (4 ft x 40 ft for playing area)

    Net Condition:
Nets are in great shape and everything meets standard dimensions for fair play.

    Seating:
You’ll find benches and shaded seating, plus bleachers if you're bringing a fan club (or just need a break after one intense rally).

    Safety Features:
You’ll find benches and shaded seating, plus bleachers if you're bringing a fan club (or just need a break after one intense rally).

Bathrooms and water are available, but fair warning - they’re a bit of a walk from the courts. Same goes for parking. Consider it a bonus warm-up (or cooldown, depending on your mood).

    Cleanliness:
Both the pickleball courts and surrounding park areas are clean and well-kept, adding to the overall positive experience.

    Lighting:
Full court lighting allows for competitive evening pickleball in West Palm Beach - a huge plus during hot Florida months.

    Wind Guards:
Wind is not blocked very well. If it’s breezy, your shots might develop a personality of their own.

    Indoor or Outdoor?
    Outdoor pickleball courts!

    Are lessons offered?
No formal pickleball lessons offered onsite.

    Type of Play:
The courts attract a mix of casual players, competitive intermediates, and advanced pickleball athletes, making it a well-rounded playing environment.

    The Vibe:
The crowd here is a mix of casual players, competitive intermediates, and advanced athletes, which keeps things interesting. The vibe is friendly but competitive. Even though you can’t reserve courts, the energy is still solid, especially when it’s busy. When it’s not? Bring your own crew.

    What are the people like?
The pickleball community here is friendly, welcoming, and competitive, with courts that are generally busy throughout the day.

    Overall Rating:
    ⭐ 6 out of 10

Caloosa Park gets a respectable 6 out of 10. The courts themselves are solid, clean, and free - which we love - but the long walks to amenities and lack of wind protection knock it down a bit.

Still, if you're Googling “free pickleball courts in Boynton Beach”, this spot is absolutely worth checking out.

🍪 Cookie Time: Two Fat Cookies

After putting in the work on the pickleball courts at Caloosa Park, we made the only logical decision: cookies. Our post-match stop was Two Fat Cookies, located just 11 minutes from the courts and absolutely worth the quick drive. If you’re searching for the best cookies near Boynton Beach pickleball courts, this spot deserves a spot on your list.

    Friday: 8:00 AM–4  PM

    Price:
At $5 per cookie, these oversized desserts definitely feel premium, but the quality and size make it worth every bite. It’s the kind of cookie that easily doubles as a post-game reward.

    Size:
Huge is the only way to describe it. These cookies are thick, oversized, and packed enough to satisfy even the hungriest pickleball player after a long rally session.

    Taste:
We went with the classic chocolate chip, featuring semi-sweet chocolate and a rich buttery flavor. The brown sugar notes stood out and gave the cookie that homemade bakery taste people look for in South Florida dessert spots.

    Texture:
The cookie leaned chewy overall with a slightly dry finish, but still soft enough to feel fresh-baked. The brown sugar aftertaste added a warm and comforting bakery-style flavor.

    Creativity:
From the oversized presentation to the clever cookie names, Two Fat Cookies knows how to make dessert memorable. Everything feels fresh, fun, and made daily with care.

    Balance:
The chocolate chip-to-cookie ratio was spot on. Every bite had enough chocolate without overpowering the cookie itself, creating a balanced flavor throughout.

    Round or Flat?
Flat. The cookie spreads out nicely while still keeping enough thickness to stay soft and chewy in the center.

    Crunchy or Chewy?
Definitely chewy. If you’re a fan of soft bakery-style cookies, this one checks every box.

    Overall Rating:

Whether you’re celebrating a big pickleball win or stress-eating after a rough loss, Two Fat Cookies earns a flawless 10 out of 10 cookie rating and a permanent spot on the Cookies N Court nice list.
