Welcome back to another Cookies N Court adventure where we combine two of our favorite things: pickleball and cookies! This month, we headed to Jupiter, Florida to check out one of the area’s popular outdoor pickleball spots - Carlin Park - and then reward ourselves with a sweet treat nearby.

This adventure started with some court time, sunshine, and friendly competition before we made our way to Tavolena Sandwich & Bakery for what turned out to be an unforgettable cookie stop. Because every good pickleball match deserves a great snack!
Carlin Park is tucked inside a large multi-sport park with plenty of open space, nearby beaches, and that classic Jupiter coastal vibe.

Open daily from sunrise to 10:00 PM
Parking:
There is plenty of free parking available throughout the park, making it easy to arrive, grab your paddle, and get straight onto the courts.
Courts:
Carlin Park features 6 outdoor pickleball courts, giving players plenty of room to enjoy a game whether you’re just learning pickleball or looking for a competitive match.
The courts are a popular spot for locals and visitors searching for pickleball courts near Jupiter Beach or a casual place to play without a membership.
Price:
FREE! That’s right - one of the best parts about Carlin Park is that you can enjoy a full pickleball session without paying court fees.
Paddle System:
Carlin Park uses a paddle drop system when the courts get busy. During peak times, especially mornings, expect to meet new players and rotate in for games.
Court colors:
The pickleball courts feature a classic blue and green color scheme that gives the courts a clean and traditional pickleball look.
Condition:
The courts are well-maintained and fully playable. Whether you’re practicing your third shot drop, working on your serve, or battling your friends in a competitive game, these courts are ready

The courts feature a standard outdoor material suitable for all levels of play

Standard (4 ft x 40 ft for playing area)
Net Condition:
The nets are in great shape and ready for plenty of rallies.
Seating:
Players and spectators can enjoy benches with shaded coverings, making it easier to hang around between games.

Safety Features:
You’ll find shaded seating areas and open walking paths around the courts.
Bathrooms and water fountains are available, but they are a little bit of a walk from the pickleball area.
Cleanliness:
Both the pickleball courts and the surrounding park areas are clean and well-kept, which adds to the overall experience.
A clean park makes a huge difference when you’re spending a few hours outside playing pickleball.

Wind Guards:
Wind is not blocked very well. If Jupiter gets breezy, your pickleball shots might develop a personality of their own. Expect a few surprise curves!
Indoor or Outdoor?
Outdoor courts. Just remember - Florida weather means you might see some sunshine, humidity, and a few friendly bugs along the way.

Type of Play:
Carlin Park attracts a great mix of players — casual beginners, competitive intermediates, and advanced pickleball athletes.

The Vibe:
The pickleball community here is friendly, welcoming, and competitive. The courts are usually busiest in the morning, when locals come out for their games and daily pickleball fix.

Carlin Park gets a respectable 7/10. It’s not the fanciest pickleball facility around, but the free courts, location, and friendly atmosphere make it a solid stop for anyone looking to play pickleball in Jupiter.

After putting in the work on the pickleball courts at Carlin Park, it was officially cookie time. Our post-match reward took us just a few minutes away to Tavolena Sandwich & Bakery, a hidden gem in Jupiter that absolutely delivered.
Located only about 6 minutes from the courts, it’s the perfect stop after playing pickleball - because calories earned on the court don’t count, right?

At $7 per cookie, these oversized desserts definitely sit in the premium cookie category - but the size, freshness, and flavor make it feel worth the splurge.
Size:
Huge. Bigger than your palm.This is not your average cookie. It’s the kind of cookie you immediately want to take a picture of before taking the first bite.
Taste:
Chocolate chip sea salt!The perfect combination of sweet chocolate, a little salty kick, and rich bakery flavor.
Texture:
Fresh and squishy. The inside had that soft, chewy texture cookie lovers chase.
Creativity:
The creativity comes from the size alone - these cookies are massive and memorable.
Balance:
Every bite had enough chocolate without overpowering the cookie itself.

Flat all the way!
Crunchy or Chewy?
Definitely chewy.
